The Tiverton Senior Center Building Committee is a group of volunteers who are working with the Town of Tiverton to replace the roof of our Senior Center. Utilizing Volunteers we are hoping to reduce cost. The idea is that volunteers will strip the roof and the towns public works will dispose of the old shingles. At that point the paid crew will apply the new shingles. Then, the Seniors will not have water dripping into their center.
The estimate for the replacement of the roof was about $27,000. The town only appropriated $6,000. A recent fund raiser brought in a just over $2,000.

Contractors who help with this task will be placed on the Preferred Contractors List. This list will be publicized in several locations to promote your company. The word of mouth advertising in the Senior Center and around town is worth it's weight in gold.
